However since I have already composed this before I noticed Mr. Kreidl has posted simpler installation instructions here: It also requires the installation of some dependencies as well, described in the links above. Will install in Raspbian Buster, perhaps some of the other versions will as well( I haven’t tried). If you have ffmpeg installed on your system it will even automatically merge dash files ( separate audio and video) for higher quality downloads if available.
